About
The South Carolina HIV, STD and Viral Hepatitis Conference is designed for nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, other clinicians, HIV/STD/Viral Hepatitis educators, social workers, case managers, public health professionals, pharmacists, other service providers, teachers, students, people living with HIV and other interested community members. Our mission for this interdisciplinary conference is to provide opportunities for professionals and community members to engage in dialogue and share past successes, discuss current best practices and interventions, as well as address emerging issues and trends.

Our "Call for Presentations & Platforms" is now open. The conference planners are proud to present the 40th annual SC HIV, STD and Viral Hepatitis Conference! Conference planners have chosen a theme that emphasizes the success stories and achievements over the past 40 years in the areas of HIV, STD, and viral hepatitis prevention, care, and treatment in South Carolina. Registration & SCHOLARSHIPS

Registration scholarships are available to undergraduate and graduate students who are attending colleges/universities in South Carolina AND pursuing degrees in public health, social work, nursing, health education, medicine, pharmacy, and other health-related fields. To apply for this scholarship, you must complete the application and submit it by the due date. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Scholarship recipients will be given a choice to attend one or both days of the conference (October 25 or October 26). Each selected recipient that attends will receive a continental breakfast and lunch. Scholarship recipients will be responsible for any travel and hotel accommodations. We are pleased to offer a limited number of scholarship opportunities for persons living with HIV or AIDS (PLWHA) to attend the 2023 Conference at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center in Columbia, South Carolina, on October 25-26, 2023. The scholarship covers registration for the Conference, including continental breakfast and lunch. Scholarship recipients will be responsible for any travel and hotel accommodations. CEUs will be offered for the 2023 conference through Mid-Carolina AHEC. For more information regarding the number and types of credits that will be available, check back in Spring 2023.
