About

The South Carolina HIV, STD and Viral Hepatitis Conference is designed for nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, other clinicians, HIV/STD/Viral Hepatitis educators, social workers, case managers, public health professionals, pharmacists, other service providers, teachers, students, people living with HIV/AIDS and other interested community members. Our mission for this interdisciplinary conference is to provide opportunities for professionals and community members to engage in dialogue and share past successes, discuss current best practices and interventions, as well as address emerging issues and trends.

NOTE: The evaluation link was emailed on 10/17/19 at the close of the conference from the following email address:  events@positiveproximity.com.  The certificates will be emailed on 11/04/19.

Mid-Carolina Area Health Education Consortium (AHEC) provides a variety of continuing education credits for up to a total of 9 hours across the two-day conference. Participation will be tracked and recorded at each session. Contact hours will only be awarded based on documented attendance.

Conference Parking:
The Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center (CMCC) Parking Lot is adjacent to the facility and has 260 first come first served, complimentary spots. In the case that the CMCC Parking Lot becomes full, the Park Street Garage located directly across the street from CMCC charges $2 for the first hour and $1 for every hour after that up to $10 for the day.

  • No parking in SCDOT Garage

  • No parking in the Discovery Garage

  • Overflow parking in the Park Street Garage

  • If the CMCC Parking Lot is full, you will be directed to park in the Park Street Garage located across the street from the CMCC. The garage rates are $2 for the first hour and $1 for every hour after that up to $10 for the day.
